RIP Weston Pier

What a tradgedy. And how many years has that been there! Over 100 for a guess. There are so many memories wrapped in that place it's unbelievable.

I loved the fact that everyone always looked happy. I loved looking through the gaps in the floor, looking at the sand below and seeing how far up I was. I loved all the noises of the rides inside. The ghost train, the big wheel, the play area where I played when I was younger and I went for peoples birthday parties. I loved the fun house most of all. I remember my uncle going on the wheel in the fun house and putting out his arms and legs so that he looked like a star and he stayed like that and went upside down, it was so funny to look at. I've lost count of how many times I went on that but I know I loved every time, more and more.
I remember getting a pounds worth of 2p's to put in the slot machines. I would save up for them. Why do we always spend so much money on them just to get more 2p's! lol, It's amazing how stuck into them we get. Ok this is between me and you but I've got one of the light covers off the big wheels red lights! lol, There's no way I regret taking that now, not that I took it anyway, Uncle Matt! lol Good times. Oh yeah, the bumper cars, I forgot them. Why is it that they're actually called dodgems but we still ram into each other... it's cause it's more fun!
I'll never forget everything that I've done on that pier. All the donuts I've had on there. The candy floss and all those 2p's I spent! Now let's hope they build a new one so that we can carry on those memories.
